Empowering Change Through Creativity

Welcome to the Songbyrde Foundation

Impact & Initiatives

The Songbyrde Foundation began its journey of giving in March 2024 with a landmark donation to Ashoka University, New Delhi, where the original manuscripts and works of Prema Sastri are now preserved within the university’s archives.

In April 2024, the Foundation extended its support to two inspiring organisations in India:

  • RASA (Chennai), founded by Dr. Ambika Kameshwar, which empowers differently abled children through theatre, music, and dance—helping young people lead more creative and confident lives.

  • CARE (Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre, Bengaluru), founded by Sudha S. Narayanan, which provides care and sanctuary to rescued animals, reflecting resilience, compassion, and courage in the face of adversity.

Through these partnerships, Songbyrde champions creativity not only as an art form, but as a force for empowerment, healing, and social good.

In 2025, the Foundation began commissioning editors and designers to prepare the complete short stories and historical plays of Prema Sastri for publication—ensuring her literary legacy continues to reach new audiences.

Looking ahead, Songbyrde is currently producing the debut solo exhibition of Sumi Sastri’s abstract art, scheduled for July 2026. As part of this initiative, 10% of all sales will be donated to the Leukaemia Foundation.

Wholly funded by the commercial activities of concentric circles digital, the Songbyrde Foundation remains committed to supporting meaningful creative work and extending its impact across communities and disciplines.
